Turn a hearty staple into a family feast by adding a Knorr Mixed Herb Flavour Pot to the minced meat filling for a scrumptious and flavoursome cottage pie.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 500g lean minced beef
  • 2 tablespoons tomato puree
  • 30g flour
  • 400ml Knorr Beef Stock
  • 1 Knorr Mixed Herb Flavour Pot
  • 800g mashed potato
  • 20g Flora Buttery

Method

  • Pre-heat oven to 200 °C/190 °C fan/ Gas mark 6.
  • Heat the oil in a saucepan over a moderate heat and fry the onion and the mince together until browned.
  • Add tomato puree and flour and stir through.
  • Add the stock whilst stirring and bring back to the boil, cook for 2 minutes or until thickened, stir through the Knorr Mixed Herb Flavour Pot.
  • Pour into a suitable casserole dish, and top with mashed potato, dot with the Buttery.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
