Quick Bolognese Sauce
Bolognaise or Bolognese as the Italians say, is a classic Italian dish that’s popular with all ages. Follow this simple and easy-to-follow recipe cooked with Knorr Beef Stock Pot to make the most intensely flavoured bolognaise you can imagine.

Ingredients
- Ingredients (maximum 2000 chars.) :
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 carrot, finely chopped
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 stick celery, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 500g lean minced beef
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 Knorr Beef Stockpot dissolved in 175ml boiling water
- 1 tsp dried oregano or Mediterranean herbs
- 400ml pasta
Method
- Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan and add the carrots, onion, celery and garlic. Cook on gentle heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring regularly until the vegetables soften but do not brown.
- Add the beef and cook until browned.
- Add the tomato puree, Knorr Beef Stock, herbs and passata. Bring back to the boil, cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
- Tips: Serve with some freshly cooked spaghetti. For great extra flavour cook with a bay leaf and add a handful of freshly torn basil leaves 5 minutes before serving.
