This fantastic traditional Sage and Onion Stuffing recipe is great for the whole family and the perfect accompaniment to your Sunday roast. So easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 20g Gold from Flora
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • ½ Knorr Vegetable stock cube
  • 2 tbsp fresh sage leaves or 2-3 tsp dried
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
  • 225g breadcrumbs
  • 400g good quality sausage meat
  • 1 small egg
  • Zest of ½ lemon, optional
  • Black pepper

Method

  • Fry the onion in the Flora until softened. Add the stock cube to dissolve.
  • Coarsely chop the herbs and add to the pan
  • Once the stock cube has dissolved completely, add the breadcrumbs and mix together.
  • Add in the sausage meat, egg, lemon zest and black pepper and mix well together. Spoon into a small ovenproof dish.
  • Bake in preheated oven 180°C, 160°C fan, Gas mark 4 for around 30-40 minutes.
  • Tip: For extra flavor try adding 1 tsp all spice or ½ tsp of nutmeg in with the onions when frying.
