Prunes Wrapped in Bacon
This dish is simple to make but provides a real taste sensation. The sweetness of the prunes and the saltiness of the bacon complement each other perfectly and make for moreish canapés.

Ingredients
- 24 pitted prunes
- 24 bacon slices, cut really thin
Method
- Pre-heat the oven to 220°C, 200°C fan, Gas Mark 7. Cut the bacon strips in half lengthwise.
- Lay a strip of bacon on a chopping board and roll round a dried prune.
- Pierce the bacon prune roll with a toothpick to keep it together. Place in a roasting pan lined with aluminum foil (for easier cleaning afterwards).
- Bake for about 15–20 minutes. Serve warm.
