Classic Lasagne
A classic lasagne is one of those popular dishes that most people love tucking into. Serve with hot garlic bread for a satisfying meal. For a vegetarian version, replace the minced meat with a soya mince or diced veggies.

Ingredients
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 2tbsps olive oil
- 500g minced meat (beef or turkey)
- 1l jar of pre-made tomato sauce
- 250g lasagne
- 200g mozzarella cheese, grated
- 100g Parmesan cheese, grated
Method
- Saute garlic and onions in olive oil over medium heat for about 10 minutes or until soft and fragrant. Add the minced meat and brown over medium high heat. Add pre-made tomato sauce to the pan and stir well. Simmer for ½ hour.
- In the meantime cook lasagne al dente and cool.
- In a baking dish spread a layer of the meat sauce and follow with lasagne. Repeat the layering until all sauce is used. The last layer should be sauce. Layer with slices of mozzarella and sprinkle with grated Parmesan.
- Bake covered for 45 minutes. Uncover for the the last 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10–15 minutes before serving.
