This Beef Curry isn’t too spicy and makes a lovely warming winter meal. And because it takes a couple of hours to cook, it means you can get on with other things once you’ve got it going. Serve with Basmati rice or Naan bread for an authentic twist.

  • 1tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2tbsps medium curry powder
  • 600g diced stewing beef
  • 1 green and yellow pepper, sliced
  • 300g diced potatoes
  • 400ml water
  • 400g can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 Knorr Beef Stock Cube
  • 50ml yoghurt
  • Fresh herbs to garnish


  • Heat the oil in a large pan, then fry the oil and the curry powder for 2 minutes. Add the beef until it's browned.
  • Add the peppers, potatoes, and stir.
  • Cover with the water, tomatoes and add the Knorr Stock Cube. Bring to the boil, turn down the heat and simmer with a lid on for 2–3 hours or until the beef is tender.
  • Serve with a dollop of yoghurt and fresh herbs.
