Breaded Chicken is always a favourite with kids but the Knorr Stock Cube paste in this recipe will appeal to adults too – giving the chicken an extra boost of flavour. Serve with French Fries or a mixed salad.

Ingredients

  • 8 pieces of chicken, skin removed
  • 1tbsp oil
  • 1 Knorr Chicken Stock Cube
  • 150g breadcrumbs
  • 1tsp sweet paprika
  • 2tsp mixed herbs
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 50g flour
  • Spray vegetable oil

Method

  • Pre-heat oven to 190°C, 170°C fan, Gas Mark 5.
  • Mix the oil with the Knorr Stock Cube to make a paste. Toss the chicken in the paste to cover evenly.
  • Season the breadcrumbs by mixing together with the paprika and mixed herbs.
  • Take three shallow pie dishes or deep plates: line one with the flour, one with beaten egg, and one with seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • Grease, generously, a flat baking sheet with the spray vegetable oil.
  • Dip the chicken first into flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the egg, shaking off any excess. Finally, dip it into the seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • Lay the breaded chicken on the greased baking sheet. Spray each piece of chicken with the oil spray.
  • Then bake for 35–40 minutes or until the chicken is cooked and the juices run clear. Cooking time depends on the size of the chicken pieces.
