Cook up skin-on chicken drumsticks and thighs in a moreish, meaty, oh-so smoky Season & Shake blend. Be sure to pierce the top of the bag several times to help the skin crisp up during cooking, then serve with rice and salad and savour the barbecue flavour.

Method

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan assisted), Gas mark 6. Tear open top of pack and remove bag. Peel off sticker and unwrap, keeping hold of blue tie to use later. Resting the bag on a work surface gently place the drumsticks and thighs in the bag, add seasoning from bottom sachet.
  • Close and tie bag with blue tie, approx 2cm from the opening. Supporting the weight of the bag with one hand shake very gently, until the chicken is evenly coated in seasoning. Pierce the top of the bag several times to make chicken skin crispier. Place in a non-heated oven proof dish so that the bag is sideways and chicken is evenly spaced.
  • Place dish on middle shelf of preheated oven, for 40-45 minutes. Ensure enough room for bag to expand when cooking (bag must not touch sides or top of oven). When cooked cut open the bag (attention: hot steam), check meat is fully cooked and place in a dish.
  • RECIPE HINT: Serve with rice and salad.
