Simple Lamb Casserole
Comfort food doesn’t get much tastier than this – but remember the rule about watched pots, because this hotpot takes time. Place in the oven with the Mealmaker mixture, then wait as the lamb turns succulent and the gravy thick and glossy. For colour, add peas in the last 10 minutes’ cooking time.

Ingredients
- 4 lean lamb chops (480g)
- 1tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 thinly sliced carrots
- 4 small whole onions peeled
- 8 small potatoes (approx 900g) sliced
- 1 packet of Knorr Mealmaker Lamb Casserole
- 425ml water
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4.
- Place the chops in a casserole dish; scatter the chopped onion and carrots on top.
- Mix the contents of the pack with the water and pour into the dish.
- Cover and cook in the oven for 45 minutes. Remove and add the small whole onions and potatoes and return to oven for a further 45 minutes.
- RECIPE HINT:
- Scatter a handful of peas into the casserole for the last 10 mins of cooking to add a burst of colour to the dish.
