Simple Beef Casserole
This hearty meal is home comfort in a pot and will really warm your cockles on a chilly day. After long slow cooking in the flavoursome Mealmaker sauce, the beef becomes meltingly tender and the onion and carrots beautifully sweet. Serve with slices of crusty bread to mop up all the luscious juices.

Ingredients
- 450g cubed stewing beef
- 1tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 parsnip peeled & chopped
- 3 sliced carrots
- 1 packet of Knorr Mealmaker Beef Casserole
- 450ml water
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4.
- Stir fry the onion in the oil until golden. Fry the beef until browned. Add the onion, beef and remaining vegetables to a casserole dish.
- Mix the contents of the packet with the water and pour into the casserole dish.
- Cover and cook for 2 hours or until the beef is tender.
- RECIPE HINT: Add 1 chopped red pepper for added colour and flavour.
